Advisors Meeting

On September the 12th, members of the museum group met with Ewen Smith (former Director of the Hunterian) and John Pelan (Director of the Scottish Council on Archives) for a very interesting few hours of discussion about our proposed museum in Crieff. The meeting began in the morning, moved on to the Old Town Hall (a proposed site) at noon and then continued at the Blending Room of the Glenturret Distillery in the afternoon.

Aside from our guests, present at the lunch meeting were: Ann McIntosh, Ewen Honeyman and Andrew Rodger of the Crieff Museum group. Also present were Isla Crichton and architect Tom Baruffati.

Much helpful advice and information was yielded by the meeting and we hope to maintain a useful dialogue with both Ewen and John, who are very supportive of our proposals.

The Crieff Museum group are very grateful for the support and generosity of John Laurie (General Manager) and Gemma McColl (Events Manager) of Glenturret Distillery. Not only for letting us hold our discussion in their building at a very busy time but also for providing us with hot drinks and a very tasty buffet lunch.
